KEMI is an intimate micro short film following a young Black Christian woman as she processes her struggles through faith and poetry all made within a day as part of Sheffield Docfest’s Filmmaker Challenge. Her verses, paired with evocative imagery, reflect themes of resilience, and renewal, offering an unfiltered glimpse into her journey toward healing.

Told as a message to her younger self, KEMI is a powerful exploration of identity, hope, and the strength to rewrite one’s story.
